Since you describe flu-like symptoms it is certainly worth considering 2-butoxyethanol overexposure (poisoning)

If you have blood in urine, I would especially look in that direction

there would be Autoimmune Hemolytic anemia. 2-butoxyethanol causes hemolytic anemia. AIHA or IMHA
