For those Exposed to 2-butoxyethanol,

Are there any Helps?

I was wondering if 'Gulf War Syndrome' vets feel anything is really helping?   I try to find helps for those exposed to 2-butoxyethanol; but it's not too hopeful.  The blood damage appears to be immediate.  There is some research that indicates once the source of exposure is withdrawn, the damage stops.  That would be true to some degree; however, the unknown is, how much TOTAL exposure can humans take before the long term effects 'kick in?'  2-butoxyethanol effects bioaccumulate  Do 'rats' in medical experiments live long enough to test this?  You already have thousands of people overexposed.  Test them!

Some of the 'helps' are nothing but more experimenting. I hear comments from those affected, & doctors don't know what to do;

I did read about a trial going on recently, maybe now; of Gulf War Vets; but since they don't really know, either, what is causing harm; they don't know for sure whether what they're doing is helping the 'for real' test group, do they?

  • Those who paint.  They usually die young (30s-40s) of bone cancer or prostate cancer.
  • How about Gulf War Vets with 'The Symptoms' -  check them for these affects?        ACUTE    &     LONG TERM EFFECTS
  • How about Navy - Air Force before and after 1990-1991 with GWS Symptoms?
  • The Coast Guard 'monitors' of the Bioremediation Experiment - EVOS
  • And the same with the Exxon Valdez Bioremediation Workers
  • And the other Exxon Valdez Oil Spill cleanup workers

 ... a Bulls Eye!

Until the medical profession studies 2-butoxyethanol - MANY other studies are skewed ... as they are secondary causes of 2-butoxyethanol poisoning

Yes, and don't forget to check reproductive damage  (Part of the Endocrine Disruption)  2-butoxyethanol damages testes - One Coast Guardsman was primarily distressed because he was unable to father children - Zero sperm count with all anatomy and enzymes there.

- So we are talking about the future generations & because there is second hand exposure with this solvent, we are also talking about spouses affected

In the Meantime -

KNOW any resources that should be added to these helpsHow to find a doctor?

Talk to Workers or those who've come into contact with these chemicals,

and you start to see the similarities  EVOS - grandma  GW - Dulka

Do you think these chemicals should be Banned by the Legislature?  I DO
