Alaska More than twelve years ago, Dean Cummings was introduced to Valdez heli-skiing at the World Extreme Skiing Championships - he has been hooked on sharing the immense scale and incredible heli-skiing and heli-snowboarding of Alaska’s Chugach range ever since. In 1995, following five years of extensive research and pioneering Alaska helicopter-skiing and winning the World Extreme Skiing Championships, Dean started H2O Heli Guides of Alaska: Dean, a pilot, a shag-carpeted ’77 Dodge Tradesman van, and a dream. Today, H2O Heli Guides has grown to become a world-class operation made up of a team of ten guides, five pilots, and a five-person support staff offering fully inclusive and non-inclusive ski Alaska and Alaska adventure vacation packages that include not only heli-skiing but also ice climbing, kayaking, rafting and wildlife viewing . H20 Heli Guides is a member of the Heli Ski US Association, the American Avalanche Association and also created, and have held annually for the last four seasons, the H2O Avalanche Awareness Program for the teenagers of Valdez. When it comes to H2O Sports frozen or not, Dean and the H2O Guide team provide the most amazing experience you will ever enjoy.
