Glyconutrients may help FATIGUE -

 AUTOIMMUNE issues - But WHY?

What are glyconutrients?

A help for fatigue? A help for autoimmune issues

Diann,

Do you have more specific information about what the glyconutrient therapy involves, what types of conditions it is used for, and what types of results have been seen using this protocol?

Thank you,

Dr. Lea Steele

Dr Patrick Garrett, could you answer this question?
Lea,

The research and foundation of why glyconutrients works and for what conditions will conflict with how we were taught to look at the disease model. The status quo view is that we are not concerned with what necessarily caused the disease, but that each disease is a separate entity. Such as the same person with diabetes and cancer. Do these diseases relate? They are not similar in etiology nor are they similar in manifestations.

The new model suggests that most all diseases are inter-related. The immune system protects the pancreas and many different immune cells TNF, Interferon, macrophages, etc... all act to prevent cancer in every person, every day. If we deplete the immune system, we get diseases.

My belief is that God created our body to heal itself given the right opportunity. Nutrition is the right opportunity. We know have seen what happens when we deplete our nutrition from the body. As of now, 95% of all Americans will die of Cancer, Heart disease, or Diabetes. 95%!!! Autism is now 1/150 where it was 1/10,000 just a few years back. Auto-immune diseases that were rare when most Doctors over 50 went to school, now they are epidemic. Seems like everybody has diabetes, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, arthritis, rheumatoid........ As of 2000, 1 in 3 children will develop diabetes in their life time. 1 in 20 have ADD/ADHD. More startling, 1 in 2 will develop cancer in which 1 and 3 will die from it. We're not even talking about gerontology but "healthy" young adults.

What has changed in the last 50 years? I know mass farming has contributed. 50 years ago, mass farming was beginning. We started seeing megafarms. The worst part is that they pick our fruit before the ripening process. Harvard did some research a while back that showed a vine ripened organically grown tomato had 241 nutrients than a store bought tomato. The store bought tomato lacked almost all of the lycopene that we tell our patients is so good for our hearts.

Missing nutrients have been shown in almost all diseases. Because, the immune system needs these glyconutrients, ORGANIC vitamins, minerals, essential fats/ proteins, and antioxidants. All things which nature provides and we have slowly depleted.

So, what do glyconutrients help? When they gave them to AIDS patients, 71% were asymtomatic. In 1972, research was done on Fucose (a glyconutrient) with breast cancer. Did you know it was a 100% effective? They couldn't synthesize the molecule thus no $$$$. That is unfortunate for all women. I heard from children disabled with cystic fibrosis that were taking glyconutrients and eventually they were released because it was GONE. I worked with a cerebral palsy patient that had left hemisphere brain damage. At 2 1/2 years old, she was a rag doll. She had right arm contractures and right foot clonus. A few months later, she said "momma" for the first time, she is now using the right arm, her left foot is no longer pointed and she can stand, she is rolling over and trying to crawl. Her physical therapist called it a miracle. I call it nutrition. We have lots of fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue patients we treat at our clinic. I personally know a diabetic that was maxed on all the meds and insulin. Started taking glyconutrients and now they are off all the meds and only taking insulin at night, this is a type 1 diabetic. Glyconutrients are the only substance known to man that can be added to the body and produce stem cells. In 2003, John Hopkins produced a study that showed within weeks of taking glyconutrients, patients produced trillions of stem cells. They couldn't figure out why type 1 diabetes were producing insulin for the first time.

They couldn't figure out why brain damaged and post stroke patients were getting better. Voila. So did glyconutrients cure? No, the body does. Given the right opportunity, the body will heal. I can't fix your brakes without brake pads. So how long can we drive without brakes? or partial brakes? For a while, then BAM something happens. It is the exact same thing in the immune system. We are barely supporting it with our lack of nutrients and synthetic vitamins. It will work for a while, then you get mono and later you get cancer.

So to answer your question of what glyconutrients are effective for? If most all diseases are caused by a depleted immune system, then all things will benefit from glyconutrient replacement. Note that if a patient takes the max of glyconutrients but doesn't get enough Vitamin C, they will still get scurvy. It is a piece of the fundamental puzzle for the immune system.

I have lots and lots of terrific stories but I don't want to ramble. I might have too much information :) if that is possible. I have never seen results with such a wide variety of patients before. I really had to change how I viewed treatment. I hope I didn't soap box too much. I am just very passionate about what I do and about my patients.

I suspect this would help all the autoimmune issues and birth defects produced by teratogen chemicals that could cause such ... That it would be a help to a type 1 diabetic that was from autoimmune causes - but that it wouldn't help those who became diabetic type 1 from head injury.  Just a speculation on my part, Diann

I suspect everyone, especially in the military during war time since WWII are highly at risk for exposure to n-butyl ether chemicals such as ethylene glycol monobutyl ether. At end of war, enough missiles were fired towards the Germans (missed 'em, though) to be equivalent to 5 Atomic bombs.  Were the rocket propellant/s decimating our own troops ... ?  With birth defects from it still showing up today?

I suspect Pres FDR was harmed by it

Our Nation's Health  Does FDR's cousin Daisy's Journal talk about a time when the 32nd President of the USA had 'flu-like' symptoms?

Do any of you with THE FATIGUE have a high or low glutamate reading? what a high glutamate reading might mean (Relating to Biochemistry of Neurotransmitters?)
