just read the internet article today from Diann Hursh about pinhole leaks in
copper pipes. A few days before Christmas, 2001 my wife and I experienced
a major pinhole leak in our 7 year old home. We ended up with ruined
carpet. flooring, etc. Our insurance company paid for most of the damaged
items but we ended up paying out over $3,500 to have our home re-piped with a
plastic type pipe. We have about 100 homes in our subdivision and about
1/2 of these homes have had problems with pinhole leaks. We have since
moved from our home and we still have only guesses about what is causing the
problem. If I hear any new info on the subject I will pass it your way.
