PWSCC CALL TO AUDITION  The PWSCC Drama Department is having auditions for their next play, All I really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, at 1:00 pm this Saturday and Sunday, Dec 9 & 10 at the college. Auditioners are asked to bring a short prepared song, and will be asked to read from the script. Auditions are open to anyone. Call 834-1614 with questions.

High School basketball begins this weekend:  Dec 9 & 10
 
KVAK is flying Dwight Morrison to Anchorage and on to Barrow to broadcast the games LIVE. Tune in to 1230 AM to catch all the action. Varsity girls play Friday at 7pm / Boys at 8:30pm. Saturday boys play at 7pm  Girls at 8:30pm.
 
KVAK thanks the many sponsors that help pay for airfare, hotel, long-distance, and other charges to bring the games to the airwaves each year. This year, KVAK is down 13 sponsors from last year and needs to pick up a few more sponsors to get all the games on the air. Annual 'Walk to Bethlehem'  

 Starts at Valdez Assembly of God Church with part of the Christmas story being told and a hymn sung, and then the walk proceeds to the Baptist Church, the Catholic Church, the Lutheran Church, and typically ends at Bayside Community Church with refreshments & a time of visiting
 
December 22, Friday at 1pm - a Christmas Party - Senior Citizen's Center - Just a fun time - You are graciously invited to attend
 
December 24 - Various churches often have special events - In past years there has even a midnight mass at 10pm at the Catholic church with wonderful choir presentation
 
December 31 - Valdez Assembly of God Church - 12:30pm Potluck Supper -
