Chad
is 33 years old, married
to Kimberly and a father of 2
sons, Logan and Levi.
He is a “GULF WAR” Veteran, deployed to
Kuwait 12 years ago in support of “OPERATION
DESERT STORM”, he was a member of the 212th
MP Co. VII
Corp. As
a front line soldier during the ground attack, Chad
was exposed to chemicals of warfare that unknowing
to him and thousands of others, changed his life for
ever.
After
returning from the Persian Gulf, Chad and thousands
of service men and women stationed on the front
lines of Kuwait and Iraq started experiencing
strange illnesses about 10 years ago,
all of which are consistent with symptoms
commonly known as “GULF WAR SYNDROME” Not
attacking just one specific organ in the body, but
attacking the body in multiple ways.
With viral and respiratory infections, high
fevers, headaches, joint pain, liver and kidney
diseases. To
include neurological disorders similar to ALS.
Symptoms such as loss of concentration, motor
skills, speech, memory loss and some reported cases,
paralysis.
Depleted
Uranium is suspected to be the cause of these
illnesses. Soldiers
were exposed to Depleted Uranium on the front lines
of the Gulf War, which has actually been identified
as the type of bomb shells the US Army used in
Kuwait and Iraq in their tank armaments.
The
US Government attributes their symptoms to
hereditary diseases. However, tens of thousands are
suffering from these illnesses, while more than
15,000 have died since returning home from Kuwait 12
years ago.
Unfortunately,
Chad’s health continues to worsen from these
chronic illnesses. He has been unable to work since early May 2003.
He has applied to the Veterans Administration
for disability benefits, but this is a long process,
and he is still undergoing tests to determine his
eligibility.

As
members of our community,
we need to help those who
put their life on the line,
by serving in the US
Military.
Protecting
and providing freedom for people
they don’t know,
for causes they might not understand,
but simply
because they’re an American Soldier.
