Hello,
Thank you for your interest in the topic of
Protect the Environment:
No More Poison in Alaska's Waters...
http://www.valdezlink.com/inipol/pages/corexit_test.htm
A Corexit test will take place at Ohmsett Feb. 10-21
The test is in NJ.
Stan Jones, RCAC Public Information Manager, will be attending and may be able to answer questions.
Please email jones@pwsrcac.org or call him using 1 800 478-7221.
When are the tests in the ocean scheduled? Upcoming or already past?
More info on Corexit http://www.valdezlink.com/corexit.htm
Still in use at Alyeska... seeking widespread permitting http://www.valdezlink.com/corexit/pages/plan.htm
although supposedly approved by all organizations... Nick Nichols of EPA said it had to cross his desk,
& he hadn't seen it: 1-21-03
"Could you please give me more details about the concerns
you have with
Exxon testing dispersants in Alaska waters? We have no indication that
this is happening or will happen.
Any oil or dispersant spilled for research purposes has to come through
my office. I have not seen anything on this issue. However, any
authorized use of any dispersant on an oil spill is allowed by federal
regulation."

What is in this Corexit?
It's not right for EPA to withhold the damaging ingredient of 2-butoxyethanol...
when listing Inipol EAP 22 * & Corexit. *
If you knew the damage to workers' health, EPA, you wouldn't even permit them to be used.
Were any workers of the NJ - Corexit - test health damaged?
Does anyone besides Exxon know?

The Coast Guard They, too had military monitors of chemicals being applied during EVOS cleanup - needing health checkups- for exposure to Inipol EAP 22 and Corexit ...& what about DEC workers monitoring on the beaches then, too? Does anyone know whether Denny Kelso, Commissioner of Alaska Dept of Environmental Conservations is OK? See if they will participate in a voluntary health follow-up? How is their red blood cell count? * |
