Besides fishing charters, you may sometimes fish off local docks and nearby beach for salmon. First will be the Pink Salmon, followed by Reds and finally the prized Silver Salmon in the end of July through August. The best Halibut fishing is in the first half of summer, a Charter Boat will be necessary.
The city has installed stainless steel cleaning stations. There is a private company which cleans, packages, freezes and mails fish. We ask that you use one these alternatives for cleaning and packaging your fish.
For our fishermen guests, we can make special arrangements to use our home freezer, if necessary, for a modest add on fee of $10 per day. However, we ask that you clean and package your fish elsewhere: not in the house or on the property.
